The Neutral Item Timer Tool

The Neutral Item Timer Tool runs with your game clock and tells you when the next neutral item tier opens. Count your Madstone in the jar and the tool tells you when to craft. Axe tried to count Madstone on his fingers. Axe ran out of fingers at Tier 2.

1. Start the clock: press Start when the horn sounds, or type the game time. Switch on Turbo for Turbo games.
2. Count your camps: tap + Camp or + Ancient when you clear one. The jar fills up to your next craft.
3. Craft when it glows. Press Crafted after you made your item, and turn on Sound for a chime when a new tier opens. Below the timer you can look up what every neutral item does.

Dota 2 neutral item timings

Every tier opens at a fixed game time. Before that, the Madstone cap stops you from collecting enough for it.

The Lotus Pools follow the same times: Great Healing Lotuses from Tier 4, Greater ones from Tier 5 (Lotus Pool Timer).

Madstone: how to get it

Madstone drops when a neutral creep camp is fully cleared:

• It flies to you if you are within 1200 range of the last creep. If an enemy hero is within 800, it drops on the ground as a bundle instead, and dropped Madstone disappears after 20 seconds.
• The cap limits how much you can collect before a tier opens. Madstone you cannot take goes to your allies.
• Supports get Madstone too, through the random ally share of every camp their team clears.

More camps cleared means more Madstone. Pull camps on time with the Stack Timer.

How neutral item crafting works

• Artifact + enchantment: a neutral item is one artifact (the item itself) plus one enchantment (extra stats). You pick one of each from a random selection: 4 each at Tier 1, 5 each at Tiers 2 to 5.
• In order: you must craft Tier 1 before Tier 2, and so on. A new craft replaces your current neutral item.
• Enchantments have several levels and show up in more than one tier.
• Tier 5 recrafts: once the cap is gone you can craft a new Tier 5 item again and again. It costs 20, 30, 40 and then more Madstone each time.

One artifact, one enchantment. Axe picked two artifacts once. The game said no. Axe argued. The game won.
