The easiest way is the game itself: Watch → Replays, search the ID, Download Replay. Want the file? The tool’s Download replay file button gets a .dem.bz2 archive straight from Valve. Unpack the file (7-Zip or WinRAR) and you get the .dem replay.

Guides like to say a week. We checked real replay files by age in September 2026: replays of normal matches were still online after about 95 days and gone after about 100. So you have roughly three months. Tournament and league games stay much longer: a league game from almost a year earlier was still there.
One exception: Immortal Draft games are not in Valve’s public data since March 2025. Their replays are only for the players in the game, and no stats site can show them.
