The Hero Comparison Tool puts two Dota 2 heroes into one ring. Ten stats go on the tape, the better value lights up and the score says who wins on paper. Then Axe blows the whistle and they punch each other until one drops. No spells. No items. Axe's favourite rules.

The face-off in 10 seconds
The tape does not lie. It also does not cast spells.
Every row on the tape answers one question about a fight. The better value lights up red.

The duel is simple on purpose. Two heroes stand still and hit each other with normal attacks:
Example at level 1: Juggernaut has 560 HP, 5.3 armor and hits for 55.0 at 1.01 attacks per second. Pudge has 670 HP and 2.2 armor and hits for 73.0 at 0.66 attacks per second. After armor, Juggernaut deals 48.7 per hit (88% of 73.0) and Pudge deals 55.3.Juggernaut wins after 14.8 seconds with 16 hits and 44 HP left.
No spells, no items, no running away. Just two heroes and their fists. Axe calls this a normal Tuesday.
The duel counts attacks per second from attack speed and BAT: the Attack Speed Calculator shows how items change them, and the Armor & HP Calculator how armor cuts the damage.
Axe made every hero fight every other hero: 16,002 duels per level. At level 1 Ogre Magi wins the most (126 of 126), at level 25 it is Morphling (126 of 126). Agility heroes gain armor, attack speed and damage from the same attribute on every level.

Bounty Hunter120 wins
Morphling126 wins

Monkey King124 wins
Ogre Magi123 wins
Shadow Fiend122 wins
Bloodseeker121 winsThe fewest wins at level 1: Medusa (0), Skywrath Mage (2) and Keeper of the Light (2). These heroes fight with spells, not fists. Medusa has no strength at all and only 120 HP in this duel. In a real game her innate Mana Shield takes most of the damage with mana.

The tape compares bodies, not heroes. A hero with worse stats can still win the lane with one good spell, a stun at the right moment or a timing item. Counters come from abilities: silences against spell casters, armor reduction against tanky heroes, true sight against invisible ones.
Use the Hero Comparison Tool to see the raw strengths: who is tankier early, who scales with levels, who can catch whom. Then check what the spells change. Axe checks nothing. Axe calls everyone to fight him. It is a strategy.

In the tool's plain right-click duel Ogre Magi wins the most fights at level 1 (126 of 126), and Morphling at level 25 (126 of 126). Real 1v1s are decided by spells, items and skill, so treat this as a stat duel, not a matchup verdict.
No. The duel only uses HP, HP regen, armor, attack damage and attack speed. Spells, innate abilities, items, attack animations, evasion and critical hits are not included. It shows who has the stronger base body, not who wins the lane.
Each hit deals the average attack damage times the armor damage factor of the target. Both heroes start swinging at the same time and hit again after 1 ÷ attacks per second. HP regen ticks between hits. The first hero at 0 HP loses.
Yes. HP, armor, damage, magic resistance, HP regen and attack speed grow with attributes every level, so a hero that loses at level 1 can win at level 25. Movement speed, attack range, turn rate and night vision stay the same.
